A certified Aggregate Testing Technician – Level 2 is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to properly perform and record the results of ten AASHTO/ASTM field and laboratory tests on concrete aggregate.

NOTE: Registration for all our exams close at Midnight, on Friday the week preceding any exam.

The Georgia Chapter ACI offers 5 Registration Options for this exam; please review carefully and choose the best option to fit your needs:

Option 1:  Complete Exam including Exam Review Workshop & a current ACI Workbook; this option includes registration for both the written and performance portions of the ACI Aggregate Testing Technician - Level 2 Exam.  In addition, it includes registration for the Exam Review Workshop, held approximately 4 weeks before the actual ACI Exam.  The Exam Review Workshop provides a comprehensive review of the ten AASHTO/ASTM Test Methods used for the ACI Exam.  A current ACI Workbook is included with this registration and will be provided at the beginning of the Exam Review Workshop.  Page highlighters and/or note taking materials are permitted and encouraged during the Exam Review Workshop, the ACI Workbook is yours to keep and may be used as your reference on the open book portion of the written ACI Exam.  This option is intended for new inexperienced technicians or others who would like a refresher on current AASHTO/ASTM Methods and Procedures used for this ACI Exam.

Option 2:  Complete Exam including a current ACI Workbook;  this option includes registration for both the written and performance portions of the ACI Aggregate Testing Technician - Level 2 Exam.  In addition, you will be shipped a current ACI Workbook under separate cover once we receive payment.  This option is intended for experienced technicians seeking re-certification or those new technicians who have obtained training elsewhere and wish to study on their own.

Option 3:  Complete Exam only; this option includes registration for both the written and performance portions of the ACI Aggregate Testing Technician - Level 2 Exam only, it does not include an Exam Review Workshop or a current ACI Workbook.  This option is intended for experienced technicians seeking re-certification that have access to open book reference and study materials elsewhere.

Option 4:  Written Exam only;  this option includes registration for the written portion of the ACI Aggregate Testing Technician - Level 2 Exam only; it does not include the Exam Review Workshop, current ACI Workbook or the Performance Portion of the Exam.  This option is intended for those examinees who previously failed the written portion of the ACI Exam and have successfully passed the performance portion of the ACI Exam within a year of the original examination date.

Option 5:  Performance Exam only;  this option includes registration for the performance portion of the ACI Aggregate Testing Technician - Level 2 Exam only; it does not include the Exam Review Workshop, current ACI Workbook or the Written Portion of the Exam.  This option is intended for those examinees who previously failed the performance portion of the ACI Exam and have successfully passed the written portion of the ACI Exam within a year of the original examination date.

On the day of the Exam, check-in begins at 7:30 am and the Exam starts promptly at 8:00 am. Be sure and bring a photo ID and at least 2 - #2 Pencils for taking the written portion of the exam.  Simple function calculators may be used in taking the exam, smart phone calculators are not allowed.
